Abstract: Pada tahun 2019/2020, dikenal cara belajar daring yaitu cara belajar tanpa tatap muka antara guru dan siswa (online). Diketahui tanpa tatap muka saja, ada siswa yang sulit untuk memahami apa yang diterangkan oleh guru, belum lagi pada saat cara belajar online membuat siswa lebih sulit lagi untuk memahami apa yang diterangkan oleh guru, terutama mata pelajaran tertentu seperti fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat belajar ditinjau dari sistim pembelajran luring dan daring di SMA Negri 2 Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode komparatif yaitu sejenis penelitian deskriptif yang ingin mencari jawaban secara mendasar tentang sebab akibat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 9 kelas jurusan IPA sejumlah 324 siswa SMA Negeri 2 Medan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 130 siswa SMA Negeri 2 Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner (angket). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, dan uji asumsi yang terdiri dari uji normalitas sebaran, uji homogenitas varians dan hasil perhitungan uji beda. Berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas skala minat dari 24 aitem, tidak terdapat aitem yang gugur, keseluruhan aitem valid dan memiliki skor Corrected Item-Total Correlation (indeks daya beda) ≥ 0,3 dengan skor bergerak dari skor aitem valid terendah rbt = 0,300 dengan skor reliabilitas (keandalan) Cronbach Alpha 0,932 yang berarti minat tergolong reliabel. Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis quota sampling, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan minat belajar jika ditinjau dari system pembelajaran luring dan daring. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil Mann Whitney, dimana koefisien 3312.5 dan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,00 yang berarti p < 0,05. In 2019/2020, an online learning method is known, namely a method of learning without face-to-face meetings between teachers and students (online). It is known that without faceto- face meetings, there are students who find it difficult to understand what is explained by the teacher, not to mention when online learning methods make it even more difficult for students to understand what is explained by the teacher, especially certain subjects such as physics. This study aims to determine differences in learning interest in terms of offline and online learning systems at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The method used in this study is a comparative method, which is a type of descriptive research that seeks to find answers fundamentally about cause and effect. The population in this study were 9 classes majoring in science totaling 324 students of SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The sample in this study were 130 students of SMA Negeri 2 Medan. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire (questionnaire). The data analysis technique used in this study is validity test, reliability test, and assumption test which consists of distribution normality test, variance homogeneity test and different test calculation results. Based on the validity and reliability test of the interest scale of 24 items, there were no items that were dropped, all items were valid and had a Corrected Item-Total Correlation score (difference index) ≥ 0.3 with a score moving from the lowest valid item score rbt = 0.300 with a score reliability (reliability) Cronbach Alpha 0.932 which means interest is classified as reliable. Based on the calculation of the quota sampling analysis, it can be seen that there are differences in learning interest when viewed from the offline and online learning systems. This is evidenced by the results of Mann Whitney, where the coefficient is 3312.5 and a significance level of 0.00, which means p <0.05.
