Analisis Kinerja Perusahaan Kelapa Sawit Berbasis Sistem Barcode

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu produsen dan eksportir Crude Palm Oil (CPO) terbesar di dunia, umumnya perusahaan kelapa sawit di Indonesia belum optimal dalam menerapkan teknologi yang tersedia di industri sehingga upaya peningkatan kinerja masih belum maksimal dilakukan yang menyebabkan potensi peningkatan produksi belum terlihat. Salah satu teknologi yang dapat diterapkan dalam mendukung peningkatan kinerja adalah sistem barcode. Oleh karenanya dalam disertasi ini penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji efektifitas kinerja perusahaan kelapa sawit yang menerapkan sistem barcode di PT LNK (Langkat Nusantara Kepong) sehingga dapat dijadikan referensi bagi perusahaan kelapa sawit Indonesia lainnya. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja (purposive) pada bulan April 2022 sampai Juni 2022. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan wawancara dengan variabel seperti pekerjaan, teknologi, ekonomi, infrastruktur, organisasi, kecocokan, keberlangsungan dan penggunaan sebagai data primer kemudian menggunakan data perusahaan dengan variabel kinerja sebagai data sekunder. Terdapat 4 kebun yang dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian yakni Kebun Basilam, Bekium, Padang Brahrang, dan Gohor Lama dengan total 237 orang. Teknik sampling yang dipilih adalah proportional stratifed random sampling. Analisis hipotesis menggunakan metode analisis Partial Least Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sistem barcode dapat meningkatkan kinerja di seluruh kebun kelapa sawit yang diamati, kemudian diketahui juga bahwa kinerja perusahaan sangat dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan dan keberlangsungan sehingga dapat diartikan peningkatan kedua variabel tersebut akan meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Variabel kecocokan ditemukan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Artinya banyak karyawan yang merasa tidak cocok dengan sistem barcode khususnya pada kebun-kebun yang memiliki kinerja yang baik. As one of the largest producers and exporters of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the world, generally palm oil companies in Indonesia have not been optimal in applying the available technology in industry era so that efforts to improve performance have not been maximized which has resulted in the potential for increased production not being seen. One of the technologies that can be applied to support performance improvement is a barcode system. Therefore, in this dissertation research was conducted to find out and examine the effectiveness of the performance of palm oil companies that implement the barcode system at PT Langkat Nusantara Kepong so that it can be used as a reference for other Indonesian palm oil companies. The research location was chosen purposively from April 2022 to June 2022. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews with variables such as employment, technology, economy, infrastructure, organization, suitability, sustainability and use as primary data then using company data with variables performance as secondary data. There were 4 gardens selected as research samples namely Basilam Gardens, Bekiun, Padang Brahrang, and Gohor Lama with a total of 237 people. The sampling technique chosen was proportional stratified random sampling. Hypothesis analysis using the Partial Least Square analysis method. The results of the study show that the barcode system can improve performance in all observed oil palm plantations, especially for plantations that have low production, then it is also known that company performance is strongly influenced by Use and Sustainability so that it can be interpreted that an increase in these two variables will increase Company Performance. Fit variable was found to have no effect on company performance. The barcode system can still be used even if it's not suitable for the employees.
