Analisis Usahatani Semangka Merah (Cirullus Vulgaris L( Di Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batubara

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendapatan usahatani semangka merah (Citrullus Vulgaris L) di Kecamatan Sei Balai, mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi produksi usahatani semangka merah (Citrullus Vulgaris L) di Kecamatan Sei Balai, dan mengetahui kelayakan secara ekonomi usahatani semangka merah (Citrullus Vulgaris L) di Kecamatan Sei Balai. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batubara ditentukan secara purposive (sengaja). Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling sebanyak 45 responden. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa rata-rata pendapatan usahatani semangka merah di Kecamatan Sei Balai Kabupaten Batubara adalah sebesar Rp 7.988.444 per musim tanam. Dari lima variabel yang diteliti yaitu tenaga kerja, tingkat pendiddikan, luas lahan, pengalaman bertani, dan modal, variabel yang berpengaruh nyata yaitu tenaga kerja, luas lahan, dan modal yang nyata mempengaruhi produksi petani semangka merah dan yang tidak berpengaruh nyata yaitu tingkat Pendidikan dan pengalaman bertani.
