dc.description.abstractIndonesia secara umum mengalami dua musim, yaitu musim penghujan dan musim kemarau. Kedua musim ini akan mempengaruhi pelaksanaan dan pembangunan jalan raya. Dalam perencanaan konstruksi perkerasan suatu jalan, juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh keadaan atau sifat dari lapisan tanah dasar, yaitu kekuatan (strength), kepadatan, tingkat pengeringanya. Tanah merupakan material yang sangat beraneka ragam, hubungan antara tekstur tanah, density, kadar air dan tegangan tanah sangat kompleks sehingga sulit menghitungnya untuk segala macam kasus. Kekuatan kontruksi perkerasan jalan sangat tergantung pada masing-masing komposisi bahan lapisannya. Tingkat keadaan dari bahan material perkerasan jalan sangat tergantung pada ukuran dan gradasi, kekuatan dan ketahanan, bentuk partikel, porosity, dan absorbtion (penghisapan), surface texture serta surface chemistry. Untuk mendapatkan kekuatan dan mengurangi pengaruh air terhadap konstruksi perkerasan pada pembangunan jalan dapat dilakukan suatu sistem pengendalian air tanah . a:iru dengan sistem stabilisasi tanah, pembuatan drainase air tanah, pengontrolan aliran a rembesan ataupun penurunan muka air tanah yang tinggi. Indonesia generally experiences two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. These two seasons will affect the implementation and construction of highways. In planning the construction of a road's pavement, it is also greatly influenced by the condition or nature of the subgrade layer, namely its strength, density and drying level. Soil is a very diverse material, the relationship between soil texture, density, water content and soil stress is very complex and therefore difficult calculate it for all kinds of cases. The strength of road pavement construction is very dependent on the composition of each layer material. The condition level of the road pavement materials is very high depending on size and gradation, strength and durability, particle shape, porosity and absorption, surface texture and surface chemistry. To gain strength and reduce the influence of water on pavement construction in road construction, a ground water control system can be implemented. a: i.e. a soil stabilization system, creating groundwater drainage, controlling the flow of seepage or lowering high groundwater levels.en_US
