Abstract: Alat pengering surya ini telah dicoba untuk mengeringkan biji kopi dan berbagai komoditi pertanian. Secara teknis peralatan pengering ini dapat digunakan oleh para petani di lndonesia, karena cukup mudah dalam pembuatan dan pengoperasiannya, serta ekonomis. Temperatur pengeringan memenuhi syarat dan mutu produk cukup baik dengan memanfaatkan keuntungan yang diperoleh pada cara pengurangan air bahan yang menggunakan energi sinar matahari dan melengkapinya dengan energi biomassa sehingga pada saat cuaca kurang baik, alat ini masih bisa dioperasiknn atau dapat juga digunakan pada malam hari, sehingga waktu pengeringan lebih cepat jika dibandingkan dengan cara penjemuran biasa (lantai jemur). This solar dryer has been tried to dry coffee beans and various agricultural commodities. Technically this dryer equipment can be used by farmers in Indonesia, as it is quite easy in its manufacture and operation, as well as economical. The drying temperature is qualified and the product quality is quite good by taking advantage of the advantages obtained in the water reduction method of materials that use sunlight energy and supplementing it with biomass energy so that in times of bad weather, the tool can still be operated or can also be used at night, so that the drying time is faster when compared to the usual drying method (drying floor).
