Indonesia, which is a developing country, cannot be separated from population problems. According to estimates, Indonesia's population in 2010 will reach two hundred and seventy-five million people and will rank fifth in the world in terms of population. With such a large population, Indonesia faces various population problems such as housing problems, unemployment, urbanization and also water problems for daily needs. As we all know, water supply for the Indonesian people has not been fulfilled. According to Widarto and Sudarto, water is an absolute necessity for the survival of life, without water there would be no life in this world. Especially for areas that are close to water sources or located below water bodies, water demand is not a problem, in accordance with the laws of physics, water flows from high places to low places. However In reality, the land surface is not always flat, there are hilly or undulating areas that will make it difficult to get a continuous water supply. | en_US |
