dc.description.abstractMenurut data peta ESDM wilayah Indonesia memiliki besaran tanah lempung yang cukup luas diberbagai daerah khususnya Sumatera Utara. Tanah lempung merupakan material yang buruk sebagai dasar bangunan dikarenakan daya dukung yang rendah dan sifat kembang susut yang besar sehingga perlu dilakukan peningkatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sifat fisik tanah pada kondisi tanah asli yang berasal dari daerah Kampung Projo, Sena, Kec. Batang Kuis, Kab. Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, serta ingin mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penambahan pasir yang diambil Sungai, Desa Marindal I dan II, Kec. Patumbak, Kab. Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pasir sebagai bahan stabilisasi. Setelah itu dilakukan pengujian kuat tekan dengan pengujian CBR (California Bearing Ratio) di laboratorium. Benda uji yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari tanah asli dan tanah yang telah distabilisasi menggunakan pasir dengan variasi 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%. Penambahan pasir sebagai bahan stabilisasi dapat meningkatkan daya dukung tanah dengan seiring bertambahnya nilai CBR (California Bearing Ratio) pada tiap variasi campuran pasir. Pengujian CBR (California Bearing Ratio) pada tanah asli sebesar 9,97%, penambahan 2% pasir sebesar 11,82%, penambahan 4% pasir sebesar 12,93%, penambahan 6% pasir sebesar 13,20% dan penambahan 8% pasir sebesar 13,47%. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pasir dapat mempengaruhi nilai daya dukung tanah dan nilai CBR (California Bearing Ratio). Semakin banyak variasi pasir yang ditambahkan maka semakin meningkat daya dukung tanah dan nilai CBR (California Bearing Ratio) yang diperoleh. Based on ESDM map data, Indonesia has quite extensive amounts of clay soil in various regions, especially North Sumatra. Clay is one of the materials that is not good as a basic building material because of its low bearing capacity and large shrinkage properties, so it needs to be repaired. This research was conducted to determine the physical properties of the soil in the original soil conditions originating from the Kampung Projo area, Sena, Kec. Batang Kuis, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, and want to know how big the influence of the addition of sand taken by the river is, Marindal I and II Villages, Kec. Patumbak, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This research was carried out using sand as a stabilizing material. After that, compressive strength testing was carried out using CBR (California Bearing Ratio) testing in the laboratory. The test objects used in this research consisted of original soil and soil that had been stabilized using sand with variations of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%. The addition of sand as a stabilizer can increase the bearing capacity of the soil along with increasing the CBR (California Bearing Ratio) value for each variation of the sand mixture. CBR (California Bearing Ratio) testing on original soil was 9.97%, 2% sand addition was 11.82%, 4% sand addition was 12.93%, 6% sand addition was 13.20% and 8% sand addition amounting to 13.47%. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that sand can influence the soil bearing capacity value and the CBR (California Bearing Ratio) value.
