dc.description.abstractDanau Toba merupakan satu dari lima Destinasi Super Prioritas Indonesia yang berada di Sumatera Utara. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Simalungun Kunjungan destinasi wisatawan Danau Toba yang berada di lingkup Kabupaten Simalungun didominasi wilayah di Parapat dan Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung, mengalami peningkatan sebesar 55% pada tahun 2023. Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya event-event nasional maupun internasional yang diselenggarakan di Danau Toba. Selain itu, pada akhir pekan dan hari libur nasional banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung ke danau toba. menurut BPS Kabupaten Simalungun pada tahun 2022 jumlah penginapan berjumlah 83 peginapan, yang mengakibatkan penginapan di kawasan simalungun danau toba sering penuh. Diperlukan penambahan sarana akomodasi penginapan bagi wisatawan seperti resort di kawasan Kaldera Toba. Simarjarunjung Hound Sky merupakan tempat destinasi wisata berlokasi di Kabupaten Simalungun. Metode perancangan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dari hasil data primer sekunder, analisis perancangan tapak dan bangunan yang menghasilkan konsep perancangan. Simalungun memiliki kekayaan kearifan lokal, adat istiadat, tradisi, kebudayaan, filosofi, ornamen dan rumah adat suku Batak Simalungun. Sehingga perancangan akan menerapkan arsitektur Neo-Vernakular budaya Batak Simalungun, maka dilakukan pengembangan Simarjarunjung Hound Sky di kawasan Kaldera Toba dengan pendekatan arsitek Franky Parulian Simanjuntak dengan penerapan arsitektur Neo-Vernakular dan menampilkan unsur-unsur lokalitas budaya setempat dalam perancangan. Lake Toba is one of five Indonesian Super Priority Destinations located in North Sumatra. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Simalungun Regency, Lake Toba tourist destination visits within the scope of Simalungun Regency are dominated by areas in Parapat and Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung, experiencing an increase of 55% by 2023. This is due to the many national and international events held on Lake Toba. In addition, on weekends and national holidays, many tourists visit Lake Toba. according to BPS Simalungun Regency in 2022 the number of inns amounted to 83 inns, which resulted in lodging in the Simalungun Lake Toba area often full. Additional lodging accommodation facilities are needed for tourists such as resorts in the Toba Caldera area. Simarjarunjung Hound Sky is a tourist destination located in Simalungun Regency. The design method in this research uses qualitative methods from the results of secondary primary data, analysis of the site, and building design that produces design concepts. Simalungun has a wealth of local wisdom, customs, traditions, culture, philosophy, ornaments, and traditional houses of the Simalungun Batak tribe. So that the design will apply the Neo-Vernacular architecture of Simalungun Batak culture, the development of Simarjarunjung Hound Sky in the Toba Caldera area is carried out with the approach of architect Franky Parulian Simanjuntak with the application of architecture.en_US
