Abstract: Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu, untuk mengidentifikasi serta menganalisis metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan sayarat benih bersertifikat serta untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis perbedaan pendapatan antara usaha tani yang menghasilkan benih kakao bersertifikat di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan di penangkar benih di Kabupaten Deli Serdang dan Kota Pematang Siantar. Daerah ini dipilih karena adanya penangkar benih kakao bersertifikat dari seluruh Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Lima penangkar benih bersertifikat yang memenuhi kriteria sebagai responden. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survei. Data dikumpulkan dari bulan Januari hingga Maret 2023. Analisis total pendapatan, pendapatan netto, rasio R/C, dan rasio B/C digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa syarat benih kakao bersertifikat dapat diketahui dan diperiksa oleh lembaga sertifikasi benih melalui petugas PBT dengan mengacu pada Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Repubik Indonsia nomor: 25/Kpts/KB.020/5/2017, Tentang Pedoman Produksi, Sertifikasi, Peredaran dan Pengawasan Benih Tanaman Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L). hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa usaha tani pembibitan benih kakao bersertifikat memberikan keuntungan kepada semua penangkar benih kakao. Dalam analisis kelayakan, KPT. Sahabat Sejati, CV. Putera Agung, CV. Putera Perkasa, dan CV. Dharma Nusantara mendapat penilaian layak, tetapi CV. Wana Bhakti tidak mendapatkan penilaian yang layak. The research aims to identify and analyze the methods used to determine the accuracy of certified seeds and to identify and analyze differences in income between farming businesses that produce certified cocoa seeds in North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted at seed breeders in Deli Serdang Regency and Pematang Siantar City. This area was chosen because there are certified cocoa seed breeders from all over North Sumatra Province. Five certified seed breeders who met the criteria as respondents. The method used in the research is a survey method. Data was collected from January to March 2023. Analysis of total income, net income, R/C ratio, and B/C ratio was used to answer the research objectives quantitatively. The research results show The requirements for certified cocoa seeds can be known and checked by the seed certification agency through PBT officers by referring to the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia number: 25/Kpts/KB.020/5/2017, Concerning Guidelines for Production, Certification, Distribution and Supervision of Cocoa Plant Seeds (Theobroma Cacao L). Research results also show that certified cocoa nursery farming provides benefits to all cocoa seed breeders. In the feasibility analysis, CV. Putera Agung, CV. Putera Perkasa, and CV. Dharma Nusantara received a decent assessment, but CV. Wana Bhakti did not get the assessment it deserved.
