Abstract: Kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) merupakan salah satu jenis kacang-kacangan yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia dan menjadi sumber pangan nomor dua setelah padi dan jagung. Produksi kacang tanah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, mengalami penurunan 54,86% sejak tahun 2021. Penurunan produksi kacang tanah disebabkan karena kurangnya kesuburan lahan yang disertai dengan kurangnya kandungan bahan organik dalam tanah. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penambahan bahan organic biochar sekam padi dan pupuk NPK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dikebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022 sampai Januari 2023. Metode yang digunkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK Faktorial) yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu faktor pertama Biochar sekam padi (B) dengan 4 taraf yaitu B0 (Kontrol),B1 (Biochar 1 kg).B2 (Biochar 2 kg) dan B3 (Biochar 3 kg). Faktor ke 2 yaitu pemberian pupuk NPK (P) dengan 4 taraf yaitu P0 (Kontrol), P2 (NPK 100 g), P2 (NPK 150 g) dan P3 (NPK 200 g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian Biochar sekam padi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan vegetatife tanaman seperti tinggi tanaman dan jumlah cabang akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan generatife tanaman seperti berat basah dan berat kering. Pemberian pupuk NPK tidak berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan vegetatife dan generatife tanaman kacang tanah. Pada kombinasi perlakuan biochar sekam padi dan pupuk NPK tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif seperti tinggi tanaman dan jumlah cabang namun memberikan pengaruh yang nyata pada pertumbuhan generatife tanaman kacang tanah seperti berat basah dan berat kering. Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) are a type of legume that is widely consumed by Indonesian people and are the second food source after rice and corn. Peanut production in North Sumatra Province has decreased by 54.86% since 2021. The decline in peanut production is due to a lack of land fertility accompanied by a lack of organic matter content in the soil. Therefore, it is necessary to add organic materials such as rice husk biochar and NPK fertilizer. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Medan Area University, from November 2022 to January 2023. The method used in this research was a Randomized Block Design (Factorial RAK) which consisted of 2 factors, namely the first factor, Rice Husk Biochar (B) with 4 levels. namely B0 (Control), B1 (Biochar 1 kg), B2 (Biochar 2 kg) and B3 (Biochar 3 kg). The second factor is the provision of NPK (P) fertilizer with 4 levels, namely P0 (Control), P2 (NPK 100 g), P2 (NPK 150 g) and P3 (NPK 200 g). The results of the research showed that giving rice husk Biochar had no significant effect on plant vegetative growth such as plant height and number of branches, but had a significant effect on plant generative growth such as wet weight and dry weight. Providing NPK fertilizer did not have a significant effect on the vegetative and generative growth of peanut plants. The combination treatment of rice husk biochar and NPK fertilizer did not show a significant effect on vegetative growth such as plant height and number of branches but had a significant effect on the generative growth of peanut plants such as wet weight and dry weight.
