Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan kemandirian belajar pada siswa-siswi SMA Advent I Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini melibatkan sebanya 578 siswa dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 58 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik random sampling. Untuk menguji hipotesis yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik Product Moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, maka diperoleh basil bahwa terdapat hubungan motivasi belajar dengan kemandirian belajar pada Siswa-siswi SMA Advent I Medan. Dan hasil diketahui dengan melihat nilai atau koefisien rxy= 0,726 dengan p< 0,05 dan R2= 0, 527 yang berarti motivasi belajar memiliki kontribusi sebesar 52,7% terhadap kemandirian belajar. Dan mean emprik 87,086 untuk motivasi belajar dan mean emprik 72,500 untuk kemandirian belajar. Hal ini berarti hipotesis yang diajukan berbunyi ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan kemandirian belajar pada siswa-siswi SMA Advent 1 Medan, diterima This research aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and independent learning in Adventist High School I Medan students. Population in this study involving a total of 578 students with a total research sample of 58 students. Data collection uses random sampling techniques. To test the hypothesis carried out using the Product Moment technique. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, the result is that there is a relationship between learning motivation and independence studied with Adventist High School 1 Medan students. And the results are known by looking at the value or coefficient rxy= 0.726 with p< 0.05 and R2= 0.527 which means that learning motivation has contribution of 52.7% to learning independence. And the empirical mean is 87.086 for learning motivation and an empirical mean of 72.500 for learning independence.
