Abstract

Perkawinan adalah perpaduan dua individu yang kerap berbeda sifat, persepsi dan Iatar belakang baik pendidikan, sosial atau ekonomi. Perkawinan adalah sebuah ibadah, merupakan ikatan yang paling mesra dari segala hubungan manusia, dimana dua indiviclu yang bersatu menjadi suami istri dan membentuk bahtera rumah tangga yang bahagia clan kekal. Hal ini juga ditegaskan dalam Undang-undang Perkawinan No. I Tahun I 974, yakni "Perkawinan adala~ ikatan lahir batin antara seorang pria dan seorang wanita sebagai suami istri dengan tujuan membentuk keluarga (rumah tangga) yang bahagia dan kekal berdasarkan Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa" (Sudarsono, 1994).
