Abstract: Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh strategi promosi dan penetapan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian kartu parabayar simPATI pada mahas iswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Medan Area Kampus 2. Dalam penelitian ini pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif untuk membuat deskriptif, gambaran atau lukiasan secara sistematis, faktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat- sifat, serta hubungan antara fenomena yang diselidiki melalui pengumpulan data kuantitatif serta penguj ian statistik . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi promosi dan penetapan harga berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan secara parsial dan simultan terhadap keputusan pembelian kartu prabayar simPATI pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Univesitas Medan Area Kampus 2. Strategi promosi dan penetapan harga mampu menjelaskan variabel terikat yaitu keputusan pembelian sebesar 58,3% dan sisanya 41,7% dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak diteliti. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa strategi promosi dan penetapan harga secara bersama-sama atau simultan berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan pembelian kartu prabayar simPATI dapa mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Medan Area Kampus 2. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi promosi dan penetapan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian kartu prabayar simPATI pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Medan Area Kampus 2. The aim of this research is to determine the extent of the influence of promotional strategies and pricing decisions on purchasing simPATI parapaid cards student at the Faculty of Economics, University of Medan Area Campus 2. In this research, the approach used is the research method quantitative descriptive. Quantitative descriptive research to create descriptive, overview or systematic, factual and accurate depiction of facts, characteristics and relationships between phenomena are investigated through quantitative data collection as well statistical testing. The research results show that promotion and pricing strategies have a positive and significant partial and simultaneous effect on decisions purchasing simPATI prepaid cards for students at the Faculty of Economics, Medan University Campus Area 2. Promotion and pricing strategies are able to explain the dependent variable namely 58.3% of purchasing decisions and the remaining 41.7% is influenced by variables not researched. The results of data analysis show that promotion and pricing strategies together or simultaneously have a positive effect on card purchasing decisions simPATI prepaid for students at the Faculty of Economics, University of Medan Area Campus 2. The conclusion in this research is promotion and pricing strategies on the decision to purchase simPATI prepaid cards among students at the Faculty of Economics Medan University Campus Area 2.
