Hubungan antara Penerimaan Diri dengan Kecemasan Menghadapi Masa Depan pada Mahasiswa Akhir Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan penerimaan diri dengan kecemasaan menghadapi masa depan pada mahasiswa akhir fakultas psikologi. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa akhir stambuk 2018-2019 yang berjumlah 110 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan Teknik Korelasi Product Moment Koefesian Determinan diketahui sebesar -0,511 dengan p = 0,0003< 0,010. Terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara penerimaan diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi masa depan, yang menunjukkan semakin rendah penerimaan diri mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi kecemasan menghadapi masa depan yang dilakukan sehingga hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Diketahui bahwa penerimaan diri mahasiswa tergolong rendah dengan mean hipotetik (55) > mean empirik (40,66) melebihi bilangan satu SD (10,573). Serta kecemasan menghadapi masa depan mahasiswa fakultas psikologi universitas medan area tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik (90) < mean empirik (105,74) selisihnya melebihi bilangan satu SD (10,392). Adapun penerimaan diri berkontribusi terhadap kecemasan menghadapi masa depan sebesar 26,1%. This research aims to see the relationship between self-acceptance and anxiety about facing the future in final students of the psychology faculty. The sample in the research was 110 students at the end of Stambuk 2018-2019. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The results of research using the Determinant Coefficient Product Moment Correlation Technique were found to be -0.511 with p = 0.0003 < 0.010. There is a significant negative relationship between self-acceptance and anxiety about facing the future, which shows that the lower a student's self-acceptance, the higher their anxiety about facing the future, so that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Is known that student self-acceptance is relatively low with the hypothetical mean (55) > empirical mean (40.66) exceeding one SD (10.573). And anxiety about facing the future of psychology faculty students at Medan Area University is classified as high where the hypothetical mean (90) < empirical mean (105.74), the difference exceeds one SD (10.392). Meanwhile, self-acceptance contributes to anxiety about facing the future by 26.1%.
