Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mencari tahu hubungan self control dengan perilaku impulsive buying pada mahasiswa pengguna aplikasi shopee di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel yang di gunakan berjumlah 116 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan metode analisis korelasional, bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan anatar self control dengan impulsive buying dilihat dari nilai koefisien (Rxy) = -0,638 dengan nilai p = 0,000 < 0,05 artinya hipotesis yang mengatakan ada hubungan negatif antara self control dengan impulsive buying diterima. Begitu juga dengan nilai koefisien determinan (R2) yang memiliki nilai 0,407, hal ini setara dengan 40,7% artinya bahwa self-control tersebut berkontribusi sekitar 40,7% terhadap impulsive buying. Dalam penelitian ini self control pada mahasiswa tergolong sedang dengan kecenderungan tinggi berdasarkan pada nilai rata – rata empirik yang diperoleh (86,31) lebih besar dari nilai rata rata hipotetik (82,50). Selanjutnya diketahui bahwa impulsive buying pada mahasiswa tergolong sedang dengan kecenderungan rendah, hal tersebut berdasarkan pada nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh (75,38) lebih kecil dari nilai rata-rata hipotetik (87,50). The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between self-control and impulsive behavior buying among students using the Shopee application at the University's Faculty of Psychology Medan Area. This research uses quantitative methods. Samples used totaling 116 students using purposive sampling technique. Based on The results of the analysis using the correlational analysis method show that there is a negative relationship significant between self control and impulsive buying seen from the coefficient value (Rxy) = -0.638 with a p value = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning the hypothesis says there is a relationship The negative relationship between self-control and impulsive buying is accepted. Likewise with value The determinant coefficient (R2) has a value of 0.407, which is equivalent to 40.7% that self-control contributes around 40.7% to impulsive buying. In this study, students' self control was classified as moderate high tendency based on the empirical average value obtained (86.31) greater than the hypothetical average value (82.50). Furthermore, it is known that impulsive buying among students is classified as moderate with a low tendency, this is the case based on the empirical average value obtained (75.38) which is smaller than the average value hypothetical (87.50).
