dc.description.abstract | Kecemasan berbicara di depan umum adalah suatu keadaan tidak nyaman yang sifatnya tidak menetap pada diri individu yang terjadi ketika seseorang mengalami tekanan perasaan dan keadaan emosianal yang tidak menyenangkan ditandai dengan reaksi fisik dan psikologis saat berbicara di depan orang banyak. Salah satu faktor yang menghambat perkembangan kemampuan berbicara adalah Self Efficacy . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan Self Efficacy dan kecemsan berbicara di depan umum. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang aktif stambuk 2021 Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area dengan jumlah 389 orang, sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 59 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala Self Efficacy dan skala kecemasan berbicara di depan umum dengan model skala likert. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment rxy = -0, 355, dengan Signifikan p= 0, 003 < 0, 05. Artinya terdapat hubungan negatif antara Self Efficacy dengan Kecemasan berbicara didepan umum. semakin tinggi Self Efficacy maka kecemasan berbicara di depan umum pada mahasiswa semakin rendah, sebaliknya semakin rendah Self Efficacy maka kecemasan berbicara di depan umum pada mahasiswa Universitas Medan Area Public speaking anxiety is a condition of discomfort that is not permanent in an individual which occurs when a person experiences pressured feelings and an unpleasant emotional state characterized by physical and psychological reactions when speaking in front of a large number of people. One of the factors that hinders the development of speaking skills is Self Efficacy . This research aims to determine the correlation between Self Efficacy and anxiety about speaking in public. The population in this study were students who were active in the 2021 Stambuk Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University with a total of 389 people, the sample in this study was 59 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The measuring instruments used are a Self Efficacy scale and a public speaking anxiety scale using a Likert scale model. Data analysis used the product moment correlation technique rxy = -0. 355, with significant p = 0. 003 < 0. 05. This means that there is a negative relationship between Self Efficacy and Anxiety about speaking in public. The higher the Self Efficacy, the lower the anxiety about speaking in public among students, conversely, the lower the Self Efficacy, the anxiety about speaking in public among Medan Area University students. | en_US |
