dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan gadget dengan pembentukan perilaku sosial remaja di SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam. dengan hipotesis yaitu ada hubungan negatif antara kecanduan gadget dengan pembentukan perilaku sosial pada remaja. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 137 orang. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan teknik total sampling. Uji analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi (rxy) -0,427 dengan signifikan (P) 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini berarti hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan diterima. Kecanduan gadget tergolong tinggi, dimana mean hipotetik 85 < mean empirik yaitu 86,96 dan selisihnya melebihi bilangan SD yaitu 11,844. Pembentukan Perilaku sosial tergolong rendah dimana mean hipotetik 90 > dari mean empirik yaitu 88,91 dan selisihnya lebih dari bilangan SD yaitu 15,572. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel X (kecanduan gadget) dengan variabel Y (Pembentukan perilaku sosial) yaitu = 0,182 yang berarti bahwa kecanduan gadget mempengaruhi perilaku sosial sebesar 18,2%. This research aims to determine the relationship between gadget addiction and the formation of adolescent social behavior at SMP Muhammadiyah 16 Lubuk Pakam. with the hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between gadget addiction and the formation of social behavior in adolescents. The sample in this study was 137 people. Researchers used quantitative methods and total sampling techniques. The data analysis test used a correlation technique (rxy) -0.427 with significance (P) 0.000 <0.05. This means that the hypothesis proposed by the researcher is accepted. Gadget addiction is classified as high, where the hypothetical mean of 85 < the empirical mean of 86.96 and the difference exceeds the SD number, namely 11.844. The formation of social behavior is classified as low where the hypothetical mean is 90 > the empirical mean, namely 88.91, and the difference is more than the SD number, namely 15.572.
