dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial keluarga dengan stres pada mahasiswa. Dukungan sosial keluarga merupakan suatu bentuk hubungan interpersonal yang melindungi seseorang dari efek stres yang buruk. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian adalah sebanyak 328 orang mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Medan Area angkatan 2019 yang sedang menyusun skripsi dan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 65 orang mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling dengan menggunakan 2 skala yaitu skala dukungan sosial keluarga dan skala stres akademik. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data menggunakan teknik Correlation Product Moment Pearson memperoleh r sebesar -0,711 dengan p sebesar 0,005 yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif dan signifikan. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, maka hipotesis diterima. Sumbangan efektif dari korelasi sebesar r2 = 0.481 yang menunjukkan bahwa stres akademik dalam menyusun skripsi dipengaruhi oleh dukungan sosial keluarga sebesar 48,1%, Selebihnya 51,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini seperti kepribadian, strategi coping, standar hidup, serta pendidikan. This research is correlational research which aims to determine the relationship between family social support and stress in students. Family social support is a form of interpersonal relationship that protects a person from the bad effects of stress. The population in the research was 328 psychology students at Medan Area University class of 2019 who were writing their thesis and used a sample of 65 students. The data collection technique uses purposive sampling using 2 scales, namely the family social support scale and the academic stress scale. Based on the results of data analysis using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique, r was -0.711 with p of 0.005, which indicates a negative and significant relationship. Based on this analysis, the hypothesis is accepted. The effective contribution of the correlation is r2 = 0.481 which shows that academic stress in writing a thesis is influenced by family social support by 48.1%. The remaining 51.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research such as personality, coping strategies, standard of living , as well as education. | en_US |
