Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Perbedaan Coping Stress Ditinjau Dari Jenis Kelamin pada sukarelawan yang menghadapi bencana alam di PMI Medan, lokasi penelitian di PMI Medan. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan coping stress ditinjau dari jenis kelamin asumsi perempuan memiliki coping stress emotional focused coping yang tinggi dari pada laki-laki yang cenderung memakai problem focused coping. Skala dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala coping stress model skala likert. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 56 orang analisis data menggunakan uji-T. Hasil ini diketahui melalui koefisien perbedaan analisis uji-t F variabel problem focused coping = 0,67 dengan P = 0,42 <0,05, dan F emotion focused coping = 3,11 dengan P = 0,08 <0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. Dilihat dari mean (nilai rata-rata hasil penelitian) problem focused coping perempuan (34.767), problem focused coping laki-laki (33.500) sedangkan emotional focused coping Perempuan (69.067), emotion focused coping laki-laki (66.000). This research aims to determine differences in coping with stress in terms of gender in volunteers who face natural disasters at PMI Medan, the research location at PMI Medan. The hypothesis of this research is that there are differences in stress coping in terms of gender, assuming that women have higher levels of emotional focused coping than men who tend to use problem focused coping. The scale in this study uses a Likert scale model of stress coping scale. The sample for this study was 56 people, data analysis using the T-test. This result is known through the coefficient of difference in the t-test analysis, F for the problem focused coping variable = 0.67 with P = 0.42 <0.05, and F emotion focused coping = 3.11 with P = 0.08 <0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, the proposed hypothesis is accepted. Judging from the mean (average value of research results) problem focused coping for women (34,767), problem focused coping for men (33,500) while emotional focused coping for women (69,067), emotion focused coping for men (66,000).
