The drainage system is an important component in urban areas. The drainage system was built to channel water discharge originating from the hydrological cycle. Other supporting factors for flooding are the large amount of rubbish and high levels of sediment, which causes blockages in the flow of water in drainage channels during heavy rain. The design discharge which represents the magnitude of the regional rainwater flow loading is then used to evaluate the current channel surface capacity. The aim is to find out the rainwater discharge that can flow into the drainage channel in order to overcome flooding in the drainage channel. To find out the rainwater discharge, rainfall data for 10 years is needed and calculated based on the Pearson Type III Log Distribution method so that the planned flood discharge can be calculated. using rational methods. Based on the Pearson Type III Log calculation, it can be concluded that the existing channel is unable to accommodate rainwater discharge. So we can plan the drainage channel according to calculations with the following dimensions: drainage 1 with channel height (H) 1.25 m, channel width (b) 0.4 m with guard height (w) 0.25 m and for drainage channel 2 has a channel height (H) of 1.25 m, channel width (b) of 0.6 m with a guard height (w) of 0.25 m. |
