dc.description.abstract | Tumbuhan obat adalah tumbuhan yang memiliki khasiat obat dan digunakan sebagai bahan dalam penyembuhan maupun pencegahan penyakit. Etnis Melayu menggunakan tumbuhan obat secara turun temurun dengan kepercayaan dari nenek moyang mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat dan pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat etnis Melayu Desa Bagan Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara kepada responden sebanyak 50 orang dan informan sebanyak 10 orang yang dianggap memiliki pengetahuan tentang tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai obat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 65 jenis tumbuhan yang dikelompokkan kedalam 35 famili dengan jumlah jenis terbanyak pada famili Zingiberaceae (6 jenis), Solanaceae (5 jenis) dan Fabaceae (5 jenis). Bagian tumbuhan yang paling banyak dimanfaatkan yaitu daun (46%), buah (28%) dan rimpang (9%), Cara peramuan dan penggunaan yang umum dilakukan masyarakat yaitu direbus (29%), dan diminum (48%). Herba merupakan habitus dari tumbuhan obat yang paling banyak ditemukan sebesar (31%). Pemanfaatan tumbuhan obat oleh etnis Melayu di Desa Bagan Percut yaitu sebagai pengobatan, perawatan dan kesehatan. Medicinal plants are plants that have medicinal properties and are used as ingredients in healing and preventing disease. The Malay ethnic group has used medicinal plants for generations based on the beliefs of their ancestors. This research aims to determine the types of plants used as medicine and their use by the Malay ethnic community, Bagan Percut Village, Percut Sei Tuan District. The method used in this research is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using interview techniques with 50 respondents and 10 informants who are considered to have knowledge about plants used as medicine. The research results showed that there were 65 types of plants grouped into 35 families with the highest number of types in the families Zingiberaceae (6 types), Solanaceae (5 types) and Fabaceae (5 types). The parts of the plant that are most widely used are leaves (46%), fruit (28%) and rhizomes (9%), the methods of concoction and use commonly used by the community are boiling (29%), and drinking (48%). Herbs are the habitus of medicinal plants that are most commonly found (31%). The use of medicinal plants by ethnic Malays in Bagan Percut Village is for treatment, care and health. | en_US |
