dc.description.abstractKota Medan salah satu Kota dengan jumlah penduduk yang sangat padat. Dimana setiap tahun penduduk bertambah disertai berbagai aktivitas di beberapa bidang (pendidikan, perdagangan, dan jasa). Kemacetan terjadi di ruas jalan A.H. Nasution dan simpang Karya Wisata, terutama pada jam-jam puncak. Data primer diperoleh dengan pengambilan data lalu lintas dan pengukuran langsung kondisi geometrik ruas jalan. Data sekunder berupa data jumlah penduduk Kota Medan 2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja ruas jalan A.H Nasution dengan metode survey dan observasi berdasarkan PKJI 2014. Masalah difokuskan pada kinerja jalan. Guna mendekati masalah ini dipergunakan acuan teori dari PKJI 2014. Data-data dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa untuk kinerja ruas jalan menunjukkan kondisi arus pada kondisi kapasitas (nilai mendekati 1). Dimana derajat kejenuhan (DJ) ruas arah Barat sebesar 1,34 dan derajat kejenuhan arah Timur sebesar 1,50. Kecepatan rata-rata kendaraan dengan panjang segmen 2,5 km untuk arah Barat adalah 19,23 km/jam dan 16,6 km/jam dengan waktu tempuh 499 detik dan 575 detik. Kecepatan tersebut lebih rendah dari kecepatan yang disyaratkan (40 km/jam). Tingkat pelayanan arus lalu lintas arah barat dan arah Timur dengan nilai DJ sudah mencapai 0,85, maka kedua segmen jalan sudah harus dipertimbangkan untuk ditingkatkan kapasitasnya. Sedangkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja simpang, pengaturan lalu lintas untuk tingkat pelayanan yang lebih baik dari kondisi eksisting. Medan City is one of the cities with a very dense population. Where every year the population increases accompanied by various activities in several fields (education, trade, and services), resulting in the increase of motorized vehicles as a means of transportation. This causes vehicle congestion which has an impact on traffic jams. Congestion occurs on the A.H. Nasution road section and the Karya Wisata intersection, especially during peak hours. The purpose of this study is to analyze congestion, measure the performance of roads and intersections, and propose the best solutions to solve problems in the area. Primary data is obtained by taking traffic data and direct measurement of the geometric condition of the intersection road section. Secondary data is in the form of data on the population of Medan City 2022. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of A.H Nasution road section with survey and observation methods based on PKJI 2014. The problem is focused on road performance. To approach this problem, theoretical references from PKJI 2014 are used. The data were collected through field surveys and analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the performance of the road section shows the current condition at the capacity condition (value close to 1). Where the degree of saturation (DJ) of the West section is 1.34 and the degree of saturation of the East is 1.50. The average speed of vehicles with a segment length of 2.5 km for the West direction is 19.23 km / h and 16.6 km /h with a travel time of 499 seconds and 575 seconds. The speed is lower than the required speed (40 km / h). The service level of westbound and eastbound traffic flow with a DJ value has reached 0.85, so both road segments must be considered to be increased in capacity. Meanwhile, to improve the performance of intersections, traffic management for a better level of service than existing conditions.en_US
