Abstract: Pembelajaran daring menjadi pilihan utama bagi lembaga pendidikan saat pandemi Covid-19. Pola komunikasi antara orang tua dan siswa memainkan peran penting dalam memotivasi keberlanjutan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi orang tua dan siswa di SMP Tri 1 Sakti Medan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap orang tua dan siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran daring selama pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Tri 1 Sakti Medan. Penelitian menunjukkan pola komunikasi yang efektif antara orang tua dan siswa berperan penting dalam memotivasi siswa selama pembelajaran daring. Kebijakan ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi interaksi banyak orang untuk menghentikan penyebaran Covid-19. Pembelajaran daring merupakan pembelajaran yang dalam proses pembelajarannya menggunakan teknologi multimedia, kelas virtual, video, email, teks online animasi , pesan suara, telepon konferensi, dan video streaming online. Selain itu, perlu dilakukan upaya untuk mengatasi kesenjangan teknologi yang ada di rumah tangga untuk memastikan akses yang merata bagi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran daring. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi lembaga pendidikan dan orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan efektivitas pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi dan masa depan. Online learning has become the main choice for educational institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Communication patterns between parents and students play an important role in motivating the continuation of the learning process. This research aims to analyze the communication patterns of parents and students at SMP Tri 1 Sakti Medan. Data was collected through interviews and observations of parents and students involved in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Tri 1 Sakti Medan. Research shows that effective communication patterns between parents and students play an important role in motivating students during online learning. This policy is expected to reduce the interaction of many people to stop the spread of Covid-19. Online learning is learning that uses technology in the learning processmultimedia, classvirtual, video, email, online text animations, voice messages, conference calls, and videosstreaming online. In addition, efforts need to be made to overcome existing technology gaps in households to ensure equitable access for students in the online learning process. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide valuable insight for educational institutions and parents in increasing motivation and effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic and in the future.
