Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh motivasi kerja guru, kompetensi guru, kepuasan kerja dan pengembangan karir guru. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan eksplanatif kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 306 guru yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling. Analisis yang di gunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Smart-PLS. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari motivasi kerja terhadap pengembangan karir guru di Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Selain itu, kompetensi guru juga ditemukan mempengaruhi pengembangan karir di wilayah yang sama. Selain itu, motivasi kerja memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja di kalangan guru, sementara kompetensi juga berperan dalam mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja di wilayah Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Selain itu, kepuasan kerja diidentifikasi sebagai faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan karir di antara para guru di wilayah tersebut. Akhirnya, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kompetensi mempengaruhi pengembangan karir melalui mediasi kepuasan kerja di kalangan guru di wilayah Kabupaten Nias Selatan. This research aims to test the effect teacher work motivation, teacher competency, job satisfaction and teacher career development. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, this research involved 306 teachers selected through cluster random sampling techniques. The analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of Smart-PLS software. Research findings show that there is a significant influence of work motivation on teacher career development in South Nias Regency. Apart from that, teacher competency was also found to influence career development in the same area. Apart from that, work motivation has a significant influence on job satisfaction among teachers, while competence also plays a role in influencing job satisfaction in the South Nias Regency area. Additionally, job satisfaction was identified as a factor contributing to career development among teachers in the region. Finally, this research reveals that work motivation and competence influence career development through the mediation of job satisfaction among teachers in the South Nias Regency area.
