Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya senyawa asam salisilat pada saos tomat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan. metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu mengidentifikasi ada tidaknya senyawa asam salisilat pada saos tomat. Jenis merk saos tomat yang diperiksa adalah sebanyak Lima merk aos tomat yairu saos tomat merk A, saos tornat merk B, saos tomat merk C, saos tornat merk D. saos tomat merk E. Analisis senyawa asam salisilat dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan pereaksi feri klorida (FeC13) 10 %, reagen marquis, dan pereaksi alkohol-air. Hasil penelittian rnenunjukkan bahwa seluruh sarnpel saos tomat yang diperiksa tidak mengandung senyawa asam salisilat. This research aims to determine whether there are acid compounds salicylates in tomato sauce. This research was conducted with. descriptive method Qualitative, namely identifying the presence or absence of salicylic acid compounds in tomato sauce. The types of tomato sauce brands examined were five AOS brands tomatoes, namely brand A tomato sauce, brand B tornat sauce, brand C tomato sauce, tornat sauce brand D. tomato sauce brand E. Analysis of the salicylic acid compound was carried out qualitatively using 10% ferric chloride (FeC13) reagent marquis, and alcohol-water reagent. The research results show that all The tomato sauce samples examined did not contain salicylic acid compounds.
