Endophytic fungi are microorganisms that live and colonize in the host tissue without causing negative effects, even many beneficial because it has high antagonistic properties against fungi pathogens on plants. Specific control mechanisms and able to increase plant production, which is an advantage for fungi endophyte, This is a biological control agent. Utilization of endophytic fungi as the biological agent of the pathogenic fungus Colletotrichum capsici is an alternative It is important to control these pathogenic fungi without causing impacts negative impact on health and the environment. The research aims to identify the type of endophytic fungus on the roots of tomato plants and to knowing that endophytic fungi are able to inhibit fungal growth Colletotrichum capsici on the roots of a tomato plant. To control growth of the pathogenic fungus Colletotrichum capsici using the antagonism test. The research method used is experimental qualitative. On This research explains the antagonistic interactions between fungi Colletotrichum capsici with endophytic fungi on tomato plant roots. For seeing the antagonistic interactions carried out experimentally using planting method on saberut agar media. This research also uses factorial random design. From the results of identification research on plant roots In tomatoes, 3 (three) types of endophytic fungi were found, namely: Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., Trichoderma sp. and the visible ability of endophytic fungi to inhibit growth of the fungus Colletotrichum capsici on the difference between control and treatment results from antagonistic interactions between the fungus Colletotrichum capsici with the endophytic fungus, the endophytic fungus Aspergillus sp. which is very significantly (very significantly different) inhibits the growth of pathogenic fungi Colletotrichum capsici.
