Research on the population of mangrove crabs (Scylla serrata) in the village Tanjung Rejo, Percut Sei Tuan District, North Sumatra has been decisively implemented in May - June 2014 which aims to determine the crab population Scylla serrata mangroves, abundance, carapace width and weight and frequency of presence in Tanjung Rejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency North Sumatra. Data collection used the Purposive Random method determine three sampling stations. At each station in Install traps/traps, at one point, 4 traps are installed randomly. Results research shows that the highest abundance of mud crabs is found at station ill it was 0.81 lnd/m2 and the lowest at station I was 0.29 land/m2. The mangrove crabs found at station Ill were heavier in comparison with other stations, which is indicated by the coefficient value growth is 3.2. Frequency of attendance at the first observation found most often at point II as much as 37.5%, in the second observation The highest frequency of presence was found at points II and III 50%. In the calculation of environmental parameters carried out in research shows _that salinity, pH, DO temperature and substrate are very influence the abundance of mud crabs (Scylla serrata).en_US
