Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kompetensi terhadap Work Engagement melalui Mediasi Efikasi Diri pada Guru di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 230 Guru. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dengan teknik total sampling, dimana seluruh populasi adalah sampel yaitu berjumlah 230 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kompetensi, skala work engagement dan skala mediasi efikasi diri. Analisa data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), yang menggunakan perangkat lunak analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kompetensi (X) berpengaruh positif terhadap work engagement (Y), dengan nilai koefisien jalur (kolom original sample) = 0,384, dengan T-Statistics = 3,769 > 1,96 dan P-Values = 0,000 < 0,05. (2) Kompetensi (X) berpengaruh positif terhadap efikasi diri (Z), dengan nilai koefisien jalur (kolom original sample) = 0,633, dengan T-Statistics = 8,808 > 1,96 dan P-Values = 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai R-Square dari efikasi diri (Z) adalah 0,400, yang berarti kompetensi (X) mampu menjelaskan atau mempengaruhi efikasi diri (Z) sebesar 40%.. (3) Efikasi diri (Z) berpengaruh positif terhadap work engagement (Y), dengan nilai koefisien jalur (kolom original sample) = 0,496, dan signifikan, dengan T-Statistics = 4,601 > 1,96 dan P-Values = 0,000 < 0,05. (4) Efikasi diri (Z) signifikan memediasi hubungan antara kompetensi (X) dan work engagement (Y), dengan nilai P-Values = 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai R-Square dari work engagement (Y) adalah 0,634, yang berarti kompetensi (X) dan efikasi diri (Z) mampu menjelaskan atau mempengaruhi work engagement (Y) sebesar 63,4%. This research aims to determine the effect of Competency on Work Engagement through Self-Efficacy Mediation for Teachers in Deli Serdang District. The population of this study was 230 teachers. This research sample was taken using a total sampling technique, where the entire population was a sample of 230 people. This research uses quantitative methods. The measuring instruments used are the competency scale, work engagement scale and self-efficacy mediation scale. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), which uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis software with Smart PLS. The results of this research show that (1) Competency (X) has a positive effect on work engagement (Y), with a path coefficient value (original sample column) = 0.384, with TStatistics = 3.769 > 1.96 and P-Values = 0.000 < 0.05 (Hypothesis Accepted). (2) Competence (X) has a positive effect on self-efficacy (Z), with a path coefficient value (original sample column) =0.633, with T-Statistics = 8.808 > 1.96 and PValues = 0.000 < 0.05. The R-Square value of self-efficacy (Z) is 0.400, which means that competence (X) is able to explain or influence self-efficacy (Z) by 40%. (3) Self-efficacy (Z) has a positive effect on work engagement (Y), with a path coefficient value (original sample column) = 0.496, and is significant, with TStatistics = 4.601 > 1.96 and P-Values = 0.000 < 0 .05. (4) Self-efficacy (Z) significantly mediates the relationship between competence (X) and work engagement (Y), with P-Values = 0.000 < 0.05. The R-Square value of work engagement (Y) is 0.634, which means that competence (X) and self-efficacy (Z) are able to explain or influence work engagement (Y) by 63.4%.
