SMAW welding (Slueld Metul Are Weldmg) or what is known as arc welding Electricity is where the SMAw welding process is carried out-using energy Electric heat with two polarities AC and DC Welding SMA w (Shield Metal Are Weldmg) is a welding process by melting the material basic that uses heat and electricity through the tip of the electrode with protection in the form of flux or slag which also melts during welding. This research aims to invest in increasing the strength of bull weld joints by welding Shield Metal Are Welding (SMAW) on steel materials with different carbon content. The research method used is qualitative methods. The results of this research obtained an average value of tank strength low carbon steel specimen ST 37 was 66.92 MPa, while the average value on medium carbon steel AISI 1050 of 120.87 MPa and the average value on Carbon steel differs by 66.27 MPa. Tensile strength value for low carbon steel and is being more highly compared with different carbon steels. Specifically, in the context of Tu_vlvr Weld, the results of this research provide insight into potential increase in welding efficiency of hua weld by considering better material characteristics and welding variables.en_US
