This study aims to determine the correlations between stress and adjustment in exdrugs addict who relapse at National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province. This study use quantitative research methods. Subject of this research were exdrugs addict who relapse at National Narcotics Agency Of North Sumatera Province. The sample in this study were 40 people. The sampling technique was total sampling. Data were collected by using stress scale and adjustment scale. Data analysis used the correlation technique (rxy) -0.743 with p = 0.000 < 0.050, meaning that there was a negative and significant relationship between stress and the adjustment of ex- drugs addict at National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province, which showed that high of stress make adjusment lower. Conversely, low of stress make adjusment higher. Stress in this study is classified as moderate because (empirical mean = 110.03 < hypothetical mean = 120 where the difference is less than SD = 16.485). Meanwhile, adjustment is classified as high, because (empirical mean = 115.68 > hypothetical mean = 80 where the difference exceeds the SD number = 19.365). The coefficient of determination and correlation is r2 = 0.552, its mean that stres contributes to adjusment in 55.2%. Based on this research, it can be seen that there are still 44.8% of the influence of other factors on Adjusment which is not disclosed in this study. |
