Abstract: Tanaman karet (Hevea brasiliensis) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki peran penting untuk keperluan industri, tanaman perkebunan ini memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis cendawan endofit dan potensinya sebagai agen biokontrol penyakit gugur daun tanaman karet (Pestalotiopsis sp.). Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen menggunakan rancangan percobaan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non faktorial yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Lokasi pengambilan sampel akar karet di Desa Bah sidua-dua Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dan penelitian isolasi cendawan endofit di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Pertanian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan isolat yang didapatkan sebanyak 6 isolat dengan kode JETK 01 Aspergilus bentuk spora seperti bunga, warna putih kehitaman JETK 02 Penicilium bentuk spora seperti bunga kucup, warna hijau keputihan JETK 03 Trichoderma bentuk spora seperti bunga, warna putih JETK 04 Fusarium bentuk spora seperti bulan sabit, warna cokelat keputihan JETK 05 Rhizoctonia bentuk spora seperti bunga, warna hijau keputihan JETK 06 Trichoderma bentuk spora seperti jarum, warna putih. 6 isolat memiliki aktivitas mikroba yang bervariasi. Diameter zona hambat yang besar di dapat sebanyak 1 isolat cendawan endofit yang berpotensi dalam menghambat mikroba patogen uji yaitu isolat dengan kode JETK 05 dengan genus Rhizoctonia. Dengan rata-rata 16mm pada pengamatan 2x24 jam selanjutnya pada pengamatan 3x24 jam dengan diameter zona hambat 16,4mm. JETK 05 Rhizoctonia secara makrokopis berwarna hijau keputihan, mikrokopis bentuk spora seperti bunga, uji pH 5 dan 7 positif. The rubber plant (Hevea brasiliensis) is a plant that has an important role for industrial purposes, this plantation plant has high economic value. This research aims to determine the type of endophytic fungus and its potential as a biocontrol agent for leaf fall disease of rubber plants (Pestalotiopsis sp.). This research method was carried out using an experimental method using an experimental design, namely a Non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 7 treatments with 3 replications. Rubber root sampling location in Bah Sidua-dua Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency and research on the isolation of endophytic fungi at the Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture. The results of the research showed that the isolates obtained were 6 isolates with the code JETK 01 Aspergilus in the form of spores like flowers, blackish white in color JETK 02 Penicillium in the shape of spores like cup flowers, whitish green in color JETK 03 Trichoderma in the shape of spores like flowers, white in color JETK 04 Fusarium in the shape of spores like crescent moon, whitish brown JETK 05 Rhizoctonia spore shaped like a flower, whitish green JETK 06 Trichoderma spore shaped like needles, white. The 6 isolates had varying microbial activities. A large inhibitory zone diameter was found in 1 isolate of endophytic fungus which had the potential to inhibit the test microbial pathogen, namely the isolate with code JETK 05 with the genus Rhizoctonia. With an average of 16mm in 2x24 hour observations, then in 3x24 hour observations with an inhibition zone diameter of 16.4mm. JETK 05 Rhizoctonia macroscopically is whitish green in color, microscopically the spores are flower-like, pH tests 5 and 7 are positive.
