dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memengetahui Adakah Hubungan Antara Social Comparison Dengan Kepercayaan Diri Siswa Di SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. Pengambilan teknik sampelnya menggunakan Teknik Total Sampling dengan jumlah 62 orang. Menggunakan teknik skala likert, yaitu skala kepercayaan diri dan skala social comparison. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar = -0,646 dengan nilai signifikan p=0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini berarti hipotesis penelitian diterima, yakni adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara social comparison dengan kepercayaan diri. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan secara nilai rata-rata hipotetik dan empirik kepercayaan diri tergolong rendah, sebab dilihat dari perbandingan nilai mean/rata-rata hipotetik (MH) 85 lebih besar dari nilai mean/rata-rata empirik (ME) 60,03 diantara nilainya. Kemudian social comparison tergolong tinggi, sebab dilihat dari perbandingan nilai mean/rata-rata hipotetik (MH) 80 lebih kecil dari nilai mean/rata-rata empirik (ME) 85,94 berada diantara nilainya. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between social comparison and self-confidence of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan. The sampling technique used the Total Sampling Technique with a total of 62 people. Using the Likert scale technique, namely the self-confidence scale and the social comparison scale. The results of this study showed a correlation coefficient (rxy) of = -0.646 with a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a significant negative relationship between social comparison and self-confidence. Based on the results of the calculation of the hypothetical and empirical average values, self-confidence is classified as low, because seen from the comparison of the hypothetical mean/average value (MH) 85 is greater than the empirical mean/average value (ME) 60.03 between its values. Then social comparison is classified as high, because seen from the comparison of the hypothetical mean/average value (MH) 80 is smaller than the empirical mean/average value (ME) 85.94 is between its values.en_US
