dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini dibuat bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan pola asuh otoriter orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa/i di SMPS HKBP Pardamean Medan penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa/i kelas VII-IX di SMPS HKBP Pardamean Medan. Pengumpulan data dalam penlitian ini dibagi menjadi 2, yaitu dengan teknik skala pada pola asuh otoriter orang tua, dan pengambilan data melalui Data Komulatif Nilai (DKN) pada prestasi belajar siswa. Analisis data menggunakan uji asumsi, yaitu menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan korelasi produk moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh otoriter orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa yang posisitif dan tergolong kuat. Hal ini didasarkan pada nilai peareson correlation sebesar 0,290 dan nilai sig. 0,000. Pola asuh otoriter orang tua memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 8,4% dan selebihnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. This study aimed to examine the correlation hetween authoritarian parenting styles and the academic achievement of students at HKBP Pardamean Private Junior High School in Medan. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population and sample in this study consisted ofall students in grades VII-LX at HKBP Pardamean Privale Junior High School in Medan. Data collection in this study was divided into two parts: a scale technique for authoritarian parenting styles and cumulative score data (DKN) for studeni academic achievement. Data analysis employed assumption tests, including normality and linearity tests, and hypothesis testing using Pearson's product-moment correlation. The results of this study indicated a significant positive and moderately strong correlation belween authoritarian parenting styles and student academic achievement. This was evidenced by a Pearson correlation value of 0.290 and a significance value of 0.000.Authoritarian parenting styles contributed an effective 8.4%, with the remaining influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. | en_US |
