This study aims to analyze the growth and production response of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) grown with indoor NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) hydroponic system using various colors of LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights and types of planting media. The NFT hydroponic system allows plant roots to continuously receive nutrient supply through a thin flow of nutrient solution, which is ideal for growing lettuce indoors. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatment factors, namely the color of the LED lights and the type of planting media. The first factor is the color of the LED lights consisting of: L1 (white LED lights), L2 (yellow LED lights), and L3 (purple LED lights). The second factor is the type of planting media used, namely: M1 (rockwool), M2 (cocopeat), and M3 (rice husk charcoal). The parameters observed include plant growth (plant height, number of leaves, root length, and stem diameter) and production results (fresh leaf weight and dry weight per plant). The results showed that the use of various LED light colors had a significant effect on the growth and production of lettuce plants. white LED lights (L1) gave the best results on plant height, number of leaves, and fresh leaf weight, while purple LED lights (L3) increased root length and stem diameter. The best combination was obtained in the L1M2 treatment (white LED lights with rockwool planting media) which resulted in optimal lettuce growth and production.
