dc.description.abstractMotivasi belajar merupakan suatu dorongan siswa dalam melakukan kegiatan belajar untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang baik. Salah satu faktor yang memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar adalah kecerdasan emosional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar siswa di SMK PAB 2 HELVETIA. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah sample sebanyak 60 orang siswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kecerdasan emosional dan skala motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar di SMK PAB 2 HELVETIA, dimana rxy = 0,851 dan p <0,05 sehingga hipotesis dinyatakan di terima. Dari hasil analisis data, penelitian kecerdasaan emosional tergolong tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata empirik (66.03) dengan mean hipotetik (90), dan movitasi belajar juga tergolong tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata empirik (65,05) dengan mean hipotetik (87). Learning motivation is a student's drive to engage in learning activities in order to achieve good learning outcomes. One of the factors that influenced learning motivation is emotional intelligence. The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation between emotional intelligence and student learning motivation at SMK PAB 2 Helvetia. The hypothesis in this research was that there was a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and learning motivation. The data collection technique used was total sampling, with a sample size of 60 students. The instruments used were the emotional intelligence scale and the learning motivation scale. The results of this research showed that there was a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and learning motivation at SMK PAB 2 Helvetia, where rxy = 0.851 and p < 0.05, thus the hypothesis was accepted. From the data analysis, emotional intelligence was categorized as high, with an empirical average score of 66.03 and a hypothetical mean of 90, and learning motivation was also categorized as high, with an empirical average score of 65.05 and a hypothetical mean of 87.en_US
