In general, laminate composite materials have higher flexural strength than conventional materials such as metal or plastic. Apart from that, the flexural strength of laminate composite materials is also influenced by the type of filler, type of resin, and the lamination technique used in its production. Fillers such as carbon fiber or glass fiber have high strength. so that it can increase the flexural strength of laminate composite materials. The calculation of material toughness in this investigation uses the histogram method, with this method the comparison of color pixels from the force vs. length increase graph from the bending test results is calculated and compared with the comparison pixel which is a representation of the amount of 1 J. In its implementation, the calculation using this method is assisted by using software. Adobe Photoshop. This research tested the toughness of the e-glass jute laminate composite material. The variations in jute and e-glass can be seen in, after the results of testing the jute and e-glass laminate composite specimens, the total flexural strength data results were obtained. and average overall data on the strength of the jute and e-glass laminate composite specimen materials. Based on the results of the analysis of KL experimental data, it was concluded that the maximum average material toughness energy (EKB) was obtained with a total of 4 layers of laminate. namely 1.7054 Joules, thus, KL is able to increase the EKB against the split tensile load given.
