Abstract: | Kabupaten Nias Selatan sebagai wilayah yang luas dan terdiri dari berbagai kecamatan, membutuhkan sistem transportasi umum yang efisien dan memadai untuk mendukung mobilitas penduduknya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pola pergerakan, mengidentifikasi kendala operasional, dan menilai tingkat kepuasan terhadap angkutan umum di kawasan tersebut. Metode survei lapangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket (kuesioner) yang disebarkan kepada supir dan penumpang angkutan umum. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pola pergerakan angkutan umum di Kabupaten Nias Selatan dinilai baik dan memadai. Selain itu, observasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat kendala signifikan yang dihadapi oleh supir dalam pengoperasian angkutan umum di wilayah tersebut. Tingkat kepuasan penumpang, yang menjadi indikator penting dalam evaluasi layanan angkutan umum, menunjukkan hasil positif. Sebagian besar responden menyatakan kepuasan mereka terhadap kinerja pelayanan angkutan umum di Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem angkutan umum di kawasan ini sudah terbukti efektif dan efisien dalam memenuhi kebutuhan mobilitas masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemahaman dan peningkatan sistem transportasi umum di Kabupaten Nias Selatan. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi landasan untuk perbaikan dan pengembangan lebih lanjut, sehingga dapat terus memberikan pelayanan yang berkualitas dan memadai bagi pengguna angkutan umum di wilayah tersebut. South Nias Regency, as a vast area comprising various districts, required an efficient and adequate public transportation system to support the mobility of its residents. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate the patterns of movement, identify operational constraints, and assess the satisfaction levels with public transportation in the region. Field survey methods were employed, utilizing questionnaires distributed to both drivers and passengers of public transportation. The study findings indicated that the patterns of movement for public transportation in South Nias Regency were deemed satisfactory and effective. Additionally, observations revealed no significant operational constraints faced by drivers in operating public transportation in the area. The satisfaction levels of passengers, a crucial indicator in evaluating public transportation services, showed positive results, with a majority of respondents expressing contentment with the performance of public transportation in South Nias Regency. Consequently, it can be concluded that the public transportation system in this region has proven to be effective and efficient in meeting the mobility needs of the community. This research contributes significantly to the understanding and improvement of the public transportation system in South Nias Regency. The implications of these research findings can serve as a foundation for further enhancements, ensuring the continued provision of quality and adequate services for public transportation users in the region. |
