Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterlibatan orangtua terhadap perkembangan moral siswa/i Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 11 Kota Binjai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel yang diambil penelitian ini adalah 135 orang siswa/i, terdapat 61 orang laki laki dan terdapat 74 orang perempuan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengambilan data dengan Skala Likert melalui Skala keterlibatan orangtua dan Skala perkembangan moral. Berdasarkan analisis data, terdapat hipotesis dalam penelitian ini bahwa adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara keterlibatan orangtua dengan perkembangan moral, diterima. Dari hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai sumbangan efektif pengaruh keterlibatan orangtua terhadap perkembangan moral sebesar 39,8% . Perkembangan moral tergolong tinggi dengan nilai mean hipotetik (80) < mean empirik (97,84), Selanjutnya keterlibatan orangtua tergolong tinggi dengan nilai mean hipotetik (85) < mean empirik (97,24). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi keterlibatan orang tua semakin baik perkembangan moral anak. Perilaku moral rentan akan social desirability yg tinggi sehingga penelitian terkait isu moral sebaiknya mempertimbangkan metode selain kuantitatif dan Skala Likert. This research aims to determine the influence of parental involvement on the moral development of students at State Junior High School 11 Binjai City. The type of research used in quantitative research. The sample taken for this research was 135 students, there were 61 men and 74 women. The sampling technique used was the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert Scale via the Parental Involvement Scale and the Moral Development Scale. Based on data analysis, there is a hypothesis in this research that there is a significant positive influence between parental involvement and moral development, which is accepted. The results show that the effective contribution value of parental involvement on moral development is 39.8%. Moral development is classified as high with a hypothetical mean value (80) < empirical mean (97.84). Furthermore, parental involvement is classified as high with a hypothetical mean value (85) < empirical mean (97.24). The results show that the higher the involvement of parents, the better the child's moral development.
