dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya hidup terhadap perilaku konsumtif dalam berbelanja di shopee pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 73 mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Bentuk skala yang digunakan adalah skala likert, dimana terdapat skala gaya hidup dan skala perilaku konsumtif. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ialah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh Y = 35,700 + 0,390x, artinya bahwa gaya hidup memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap perilaku konsumtif dalam berbelanja di shopee pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Sedangkan hasil koefisien determinan (R2) yang memiliki nilai 0,399 atau setara dengan 39,9% maka gaya hidup memberikan kontribusi sekitar 39,9% terhadap perilaku konsumtif. This research aimed to determine the effect of lifestyle on consumptive behavior when shopping on Shopee among students of the Faculty of Psychology at University of Medan Area. The samnple included 73 students, selected using purposive sampling. The research used a quantitative method with Likert scales to measure both lifestyle and consumptive behavior. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression. The analysis yielded the equation Y= 35.700+0.390x, indicating that lifestyle had a positive effect on consumptive behavior in shopping on Shopee among the students. The coefficient of determination (R') was 0.399, which equated to 39.9%, suggesting that lifestyle accounted for approximately 39.9% of the effect on consumptive behavior.en_US
