Abstract: Steam yang dibutuhkan sangat berpengaruh terhadap proses pelumatan buah kelapa sawit di unit digester. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghitung jumlah panas yang diserap berondolan dan steam yang dibutuhkan pada proses pelumatan buah kelapa sawit di unit digester. Metode yang digunakan adalah perhitungan panas sensibel dan panas laten. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, pengambilan data lapangan dan melakukan analisis data. Hasil perhitungan penelitian ini adalah panas yang diserap oleh berondolan selama proses pelumatan adalah 346.178,902 Kkal/jam dari umpan berondolan sebanyak 13.664 kg/Jam. Untuk jumlah steam yang dibutuhkan untuk pelumatan buah kelapa sawit sebesar 634,81820 kg/jam disaat umpan masuk diberikan tekanan steam 2,32 kg/cm2 dengan suhu 110°C. The steam required significantly influences the process of palm fruit digestion in the digester unit. The purpose of this study was to calculate the amount of heat absorbed by the palm fruit (loose fruits) and the steam required during the palm fruit digestion process in the digester unit. The method used involved calculating sensible heat and latent heat. Data collection techniques included observation, field data collection, and data analysis. The results of this study showed that the heat absorbed by the palm fruit (loose fruits) during the digestion process was 346.178,902 Kcal/hour from a fruit feed of 13.664 kg/hour. The amount of steam needed for the digestion of palm fruit (loose fruits) was 634,81820 kg/hour, with the feed entering under a steam pressure of 2,32 kg/cm² at a temperature of 110°C.
