dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penerimaan diri pada ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome di PIK POTADS Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis statistik deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome di PIK POTADS Sumatera Utara yang berjumlah 38 ibu dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Metode pengambilan data melalui skala penerimaan diri dengan model skala Likert. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kontribusi pada skala penerimaan diri, aspek yang paling besar berkontribusi yaitu aspek berpendirian (23,03%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 34 ibu tinggi, dan 4 ibu sedang. Kedua aspek bertanggung jawab (21,11%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 34 ibu tinggi, dan 4 ibu sedang. Ketiga aspek orientasi diri keluar (20,46%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 33 ibu tinggi, dan 5 ibu sedang. Keempat aspek percaya kemampuan diri (13,46%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 31 ibu tinggi, dan 7 ibu sedang. Kelima aspek menyadari keterbatasan (12,08%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 24 ibu tinggi, dan 14 ibu sedang. Keenam aspek perasaan sederajat (8,36%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 31 ibu tinggi, dan 7 ibu sedang. Ketujuh aspek menerima sifat kemanusiaan (1,50%), dengan hasil uji frekuensi 1 ibu tinggi, 10 ibu sedang, dan 27 ibu rendah. This research aims to determine the description of self-acceptance in mothers who have children with Down syndrome at PIK POTADS, North Sumatra. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive statistical analysis. The sample in this study were mothers who had children with Down syndrome at PIK POTADS North Sumatra, totaling 38 mothers and the sampling technique used the purposive sampling method. The data collection method is through a self-acceptance scale with a Likert scale model. Based on the results of the contribution analysis on the self-acceptance scale, the aspect that contributed the most was the opinionated aspect (23.03%), with frequency test results of 34 high mothers, and 4 medium mothers. Both aspects are responsible (21.11%), with test results of 34 high mothers and 4 medium mothers. The three aspects of self-orientation were out (20.46%), with test results of 33 high mothers and 5 medium mothers. The four aspects of self-confidence (13.46%), with the frequency test results of 31 mothers being high, and 7 mothers being moderate. The five aspects are aware of limitations (12.08%), with test results of a high frequency of 24 mothers, and 14 medium mothers. The six aspects of feeling were the same (8.36%), with the frequency test results being 31 mothers being high, and 7 mothers being moderate. The seven aspects accept human characteristics (1.50%), with only 1 mother scoring high, 10 moderate and 27 low.en_US
