Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Self Efficacy terhadap stres akademik siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Miftahussalam Medan dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 52 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif. Adapun hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah Ada pengaruh secara signifikan antara self-efficacy terhadap stres akademik. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling, dimana jumlah sampel sesuai dengan populasi penelitian yang memiliki tingkat stres akademik sedang dan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert dalam metode pengambilan datanya. Skala yang digunakan pada screening test yaitu skala depression anxiety stress scale (DASS). Perhitungan nilai rata-rata empirik dan rata-rata hipotetik self efficacy (62,54 < 80), juga rata-rata empirik dan rata-rata hipotetik stress akademik (120,92 > 90), diketahui bahwa subjek penelitian memiliki self efficacy yang rendah dan stres akademik yang tinggi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu metode regresi linier sederhana, berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan diperoleh koefisien = -0,572 dengan P = 0,114 > 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut berarti hipotesis yang diajukan berbunyi ada pengaruh self efficacy terhadap stres akademik siswa diterima. This research aims to determine the effect of Self Efficacy on students' academic stress at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan. The research population was students of the Miftahussalam Medan Private Madrasah Aliyah and the sample used in this research was 52 students. The sample in this study was selected based on predetermined criteria. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that there is a significant influence between self-efficacy and academic stress. The sampling technique used is total sampling, where the number of samples corresponds to the research population which has moderate and high levels of academic stress. This research uses a Likert scale in its data collection method. The scale used in the screening test is the depression anxiety stress scale (DASS). Calculating the empirical average and hypothetical average of self-efficacy (62.54 < 80), as well as the empirical average and hypothetical average of academic stress (120.92 > 90), it is known that the research subjects have low self-efficacy and high academic stress. The data analysis method used is the simple linear regression method. Based on the data analysis carried out, the coefficient = -0.572 with P = 0.114 > 0.05. Based on these results, it means that the proposed hypothesis that there is an influence of self-efficacy on students' academic stress was accepted.
