This research aims to determine the correlation between self-esteem and subjective well-being among students at MAN 2 Model Medan. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The sampling technique uses quota sampling technique. The data collection method in this research uses a Likert scale. The data collection technique in this research uses a self-esteem scale and a subjective well-being scale. Then the data analysis process is carried out by running a product moment correlation test using SPSS. And based on data analysis, a significant correlation score of r(xy) = 0.644 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.010) was obtained. This shows that there is a positive relationship between self-esteem and subjective well-being. This can be interpreted as the higher the self-esteem, the higher the subjective well-being, conversely the lower the self-esteem, the lower the subjective wellbeing. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the self-esteem of students at MAN 2 Medan Model is relatively high (empirical mean = 107.53 < hypothetical mean = 97.5) as well as subjective well-being is relatively high (empirical mean = 75.43 < hypothetical mean = 58). The coefficient of determination was found to be r2 = 0.414, meaning that self-esteem contributed to the subjective well-being of students at MAN 2 Model Medan by 41.1%. | en_US |
