dc.description.abstract | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap harga diri pada remaja awal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 866 orang siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 7 Binjai dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan bantuan software SPSS dengan analisis regresi sederhana. Dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima yaitu ada pengaruh intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap harga diri pada remaja awal. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan Metode Analisis Regresi diketahui bahwa ada pengaruh intensitas penggunaan media sosial terhadap harga diri dimana Rxy = 0,350 dengan signifikan p = 0.000 < 0,050, artinya semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan media sosial maka semakin tinggi harga diri dinyatakan diterima. Koefisien determinan (R2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas X dengan variabel terikat Y adalah sebesar R2 = 0,122. Ini menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan media sosial berkontribusi atau memberikan sumbangsi terhadap harga diri sebesar 12,20%. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of the intensity of social media use on self-esteem in early adolescents. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. This research involved 866 students of SMP Negeri 7 Binjai using a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The analysis in this research uses SPSS software with simple regression analysis. This research shows that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an influence of the intensity of social media use on self-esteem in early adolescents. The results of the research that has been carried out based on the results of analysis using the Regression Analysis Method show that there is an influence of the intensity of social media use on self-esteem where Rxy = 0.350 with a significant p = 0.000 < 0.050, meaning that the higher the intensity of social media use, the higher the self-esteem is stated to be acceptable. The determinant coefficient (R2) of the relationship between the independent variable X and the dependent variable Y is R2 = 0.122. This shows that the intensity of social media use contributes or contributes to self-esteem by 12.20%. | en_US |
