Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk tanggung jawab hukum perusahaan PT. Pos Indonesia terhadap kerusakan dan kehilangan pengiriman barang berupa dokumen, Dasar aturan hukum pengiriman barang pada PT. Pos Indonesia Medan Thamrin dan Tanggung jawab hukum perusahaan PT. Pos Indonesia Medan Thamrin atas kerusakan dan kehilangan barang kiriman berupa dokumen. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan konseptual dan perundang-undangan dengan analisis data yang bersifat deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa aturan hukum yang di pakai adalah Undang-Undang No. 38 Tahun 2009 Tentang Pos Indonesia, PERMENKOMINFO Nomor 4 Tahun 2021 dan juga Undang-Undang No. 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen. Untuk perjanjian Adapun KUHPerdata pasal 1338 dan KUHD pasal 468. Tanggung jawab apabila terjadi kerusakan dan kehilangan barang kirimam berupa dokumen dengan asuransi dan tanpa asuransi sesuai dengan Ketetapan Direktur Pos dan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 15 Tahun 2013 Tentang Pos. Penelitian ini akan menjadi solusi atas permasalahan terkait kerusakan dan kehilangan barang kiriman berupa dokumen agar aktivitas oprasional perusahaan lebih tepat waktu dan aman sesuai prosedur yang dijalankan. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of legal responsibility of PT Pos Indonesia company for damage and loss of delivery of goods in the form of documents, the basis of the legal rules of delivery of goods at PT Pos Indonesia Medan Thamrin and the legal responsibility of PT Pos Indonesia Medan Thamrin company for damage and loss of delivery of goods in the form of documents. The research method used is normative juridical with a conceptual and statutory approach with descriptive data analysis. Based on the results and discussion of this study, it shows that the legal rules used in Law No. 38 of 2009 concerning Pos Indonesia, PERMENKOMINFO Number 1 of 2009 also Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. For agreements, the Civil Code Article 1338 and KUHD Article 468. Responsibility in the event of damage and loss of goods sent in the form of documents is with insurance and without insurance in accordance with the Decree of the Postal Director and Presidential Regulation No. 15 of 2013 This research will be a solution to problems related to damage and loss of goods sent in the form of documents so that the company's operational activities are more timely and safe according to the procedures carried out.
