Pengaruh Informasi Begal di Grup Whatsapp terhadap Tingkat Kecemasan Masyarakat Kelurahan Bagan Deli Kecamatan Medan Belawan

Abstract

Perkembangan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) berlangsung dengan sangat pesat, masyarakat dapat dengan mudah memperoleh berbagai informasi dari platform media sosial termasuk informasi pembegalan yang menyebabkan perasaan cemas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dan seberapa besar pengaruh informasi begal di grup whatsapp terhadap tingkat kecemasan masyarakat kelurahan Bagan Deli kecamatan Medan Belawan baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan Deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik stratified random sampling, dengan jumlah populasi 9.673 dan jumlah sampel 100 responden. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa informasi begal memiliki pengaruh yang sangat kuat dalam mempengaruhi tingkat kecemasan masyarakat Bagan Deli dengan nilai R square sebesar 0,81 (81%) yang dimana 19% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Dengan hasil regresi linier sederhana Nilai t hitung sebesar 2,942 > t tabel yaitu sebesar 1,9844. Dan nilai signifikan variabel informasi begal 0,000 < 0,05. Maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima, artinya informasi begal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tingkat kecemasan masyarakat. The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is progressing rapidly, allowing people to easily access various information through social media platforms, including information about robberies, which can lead to feelings of anxiety. This study aimed to determine whether there is an effect, and the extent of that effect, of robbery information shared in WhatsApp groups on the anxiety levels of the residents of Bagan Deli, Medan Belawan District, both partially and simultaneously. The research method used was a descriptive quantitative approach with a stratified random sampling technique. The population was 9,673, with a sample size of 100 respondents. The study concluded that robbery information has a very strong influence on the anxiety levels of Bagan Deli residents, with an R square value of 0.81 (81%), while 19% is influenced by other factors. The simple linear regression result showed a t-value of 2.942 > t-table value of 1.9844, and the significance value for the robbery information variable was 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, meaning that robbery information has a positive and significant effect on the anxiety levels of the residents.
