dc.description.abstract | Media sosial, khususnya TikTok, memiliki peran penting dalam penyebaran informasi politik menjelang pemilu. Namun, Fyp konten politik di TikTok seringkali berisi isu-isu negatif yang berpotensi mempengaruhi pemahaman politik Generasi Z . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji Pengaruh Isu Politik Negatif Calon Presiden di TikTok terhadap Preferensi Pilihan Generasi Z Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Medan Area Pada Pemilu 2024. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner dengan sampel 85 responden. Analisis statistik menunjukkan hubungan positif antara isu politik negatif dan pilihan generasi Z sebesar 0,572. Hasil dari uji-t mengkonfirmasi ada pengaruh nyata dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Disimpulkan, semakin banyak isu negatif terekspos di media TikTok maka berpengaruh 32% terhadap preferensi pilihan, Sedangkan 68% dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor lainnya yang tidak diteliti. Paparan isu politik negatif di TikTok berpengaruh pada sebagian preferensi politik Generasi Z. hasil analisis kolerasi product moment sebesar 0,567 dibandingkan dengan rtabel tingkat signifikan 5% N=85 sebesar 0,213. Jadi r-hitung lebih besar dari r-tabel, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis nol (H0) yaitu tidak ada pengaruh isu politik negatif calon presiden di TikTok terhadap preferensi pilihan generasi Z Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi pada pemilu 2024 ditolak, dan hipotesis (H1) yaitu ada pengaruh Isu politik negatif calon presiden di TikTok terhadap pilihan generasi Z Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi pada pemilu 2024 diterima. Social media, especially TikTok, has an important role in disseminating political information ahead of the election. However, political content on TikTok often contains negative issues that have the potential to influence Generation Z's understanding of politics. This research aims to examine the influence of negative political issues from presidential candidates on TikTok on the preferences of generation Z communication students at Medan Area University in the 2024 elections. The method used is quantitative using a questionnaire with a sample of 85 respondents. Statistical analysis shows a positive relationship between negative political issues and generation Z choices of 0.572. The results of the t-test confirm that there is a real effect with a significance level of 5%. It was concluded that the more negative issues exposed on TikTok media had a 32% influence on choice preferences, while 68% was influenced by a combination of other factors that were not researched. Exposure to negative political issues on TikTok influences some of the political preferences of Generation Z. The results of the product moment correlation analysis are 0.567 compared to the r table with a significant level of 5% N=85 of 0.213. So the r-count is greater than the r-table, so it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (H0), namely that there is no influence of negative political issues of presidential candidates on TikTok on the preferences of Generation Z Communication Science Students in the 2024 election, is rejected, and hypothesis (H1) namely, there is an influence of negative political issues of presidential candidates on TikTok on the choices of Generation Z Communication Science Students in the 2024 election. | en_US |
