The Karo Regency Government established Disaster-Resilient Villages as a solution to improve disaster literacy among the community in the Mount Sinabung area. Of the several Destanas (Desa Tangguh Bencana) formed, Gung Pinto Village has become an exemplary model of the best Destana. This success is attributed to the facilitators' effectiveness in assisting the Destana process. This study aimed to explore the persuasive communication techniques used by Destana facilitators to enhance disaster literacy among the community in Gung Pinto Village, using Effendy's persuasive communication techniques, with a descriptive qualitative research method. The data analysis technique employed followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research was conducted through several stages such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study concluded several points: facilitators use four persuasive communication techniques to enhance disaster literacy among the community, namely (1) Association technique; (2) Integration technique; (3) Reward technique (pay-off technique); (4) Structuring technique (icing). Supporting factors also determine the success of the facilitators' persuasive communication process, including the credibility and attractiveness of the persuader, message organization, and environmental influence.en_US
