This research aims to determine the growth media that produces the highest protein content in Black soldier fly larvae. This research was carried out in the yard of the house in Tigapanah Village, Kec. Tigapanah, Kab. Karo, North Sumatra and the chemical analysis was carried out at the Biochemistry Laboratory, University of North Sumatra. This research was carried out with 5 treatments, each treatment being carried out 3 times to observe the growth of the larvae. In this study, observations will be seen of the growth of larvae (Hermetia illucens) including the weight of the larvae before and after being placed on each medium with a research duration of 7 days. The next parameter that will be observed in this research is the analysis of protein levels in larvae (Hermetia illucens) using the kjedalh method. The research procedure consists of 3 stages. Stage 1 is providing growth media for Black Soldier Fly larvae, Stage 2 is cultivating Black Soldier Fly larvae and stage 3 is determining the protein content of Black Soldier Fly larvae using the Kjedahl method. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be seen that coconut dregs + vegetable waste is a growing medium that produces the highest protein levels in Black Soldier Fly larvae. | en_US |
