dc.description.abstract | Banyaknya orang yang tinggal di kota lama Kesawan, kebutuhan akan saluran drainase meningkat. Kota ini rawan banjir karena banyaknya rumah yang rapat dan tidak memiliki tempat pembuangan lain. KemenPUPR, yang diwakilkan BPPW Sumatera Utara, sebagai owner proyek Pembangunan infrastruktur permukiman Kawasan Kesawan kota lama menggunakan U-Ditch. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya debit rencana Q2 dan Q5 di Kawasan Kesawan, serta untuk mengetahui apakah saluran drainase dengan tipe U-Ditch yang sesuai dapat menerima debit rencana Kawasan Kesawan. Analisis hidrologi mencakup data curah hujan, intensitas hujan, dan debit banjir dengan menggunakan Rumus Rasional. Untuk menghitung debit banjir, diperlukan luas area pengambilan air. Menghitung intensitas curah hujan adalah nilai rata-rata curah hujan harian maksimum dari BMKG Medan Selayang tahun 2013 hingga 2022. Data dikumpulkan dengan Excel dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saluran di Jl. Kereta Api, Jl. Pulau Pinang, dan Jl. Balai Kota dapat menampung debit banjir yang direncanakan yang berlangsung selama 2, 5 dan 10 tahun. Penggantian penampang dari penampang trapesium ke uditch precast menghilangkan genangan di badan jalan. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan debit saluran dan banjir saat ini pada daerah tangkapan air. Saluran S-i I, S-i II, dan S-i III memiliki debit 2,046 m3/det dengan ukuran B = 1,9 m dan h = 1,05 m. S-i I Q2 = 0,0283 m3/det Q5 = 0.0350 m3/det S-i II Q2 = 0,0117 m3/det Q5 = 0.0145 m3/det S-i III Q2 = 0,0146 m3/det Q5 = 0.0180 m3/det. With the large number of people living in the old town of Kesawan, the need for drainage channels increases. This city is prone to flooding because many houses are close together and have no other place for drainage. KemenPUPR, represented by BPPW North Sumatra, as the owner of the residential infrastructure development project in the Kesawan area of the old city using U-Ditch. The aim of this research is to determine the magnitude of the Q2 and Q5 planned discharge in the Kesawan area, as well as to find out whether drainage channels with the appropriate U-Ditch type can receive the planned discharge in the Kesawan area. Hydrological analysis includes rainfall data, rain intensity and flood discharge using the Rational Formula. To calculate flood discharge, the water intake area is needed. Calculating rainfall intensity is the average maximum daily rainfall value from BMKG Medan Selayang from 2013 to 2022. Data was collected using Excel and analyzed qualitatively. The research results show that the channel on Jl. Train, Jl. Pulau Pinang, and Jl. City Hall can accommodate planned flood discharges lasting 2, 5 and 10 years. Replacing the cross section from trapezoidal cross section to Uditch precast eliminates puddles on the road body. The calculation results show the current channel discharge and flooding in the water catchment area. The S-i I, S-i II, and S-i III channels have a discharge of 2,046 m3/sec with sizes B = 1.9 m and h = 1.05 m.
